Abstract: Mould is one of the key factors affecting the quality of finished tunnel segments. Based on an introduc? tion to relevant standards of the moulds for reinforced concrete segments of shield tunnels, the issues concerning mould design and machining as well as operation are summarized, the quality problems related to mould and corresponding reasons are analyzed, treatment measures for the common problems occur during mould operation and maintenance are presented, and the suggestions on after-sales service of the mould manufactory are proposed in order to control the quality in the course of segment manufacturing and serving.
