The F11 fault of the Qiyueshan Tunnel is 235 m long vertically, and is mainly located in water-abundant high-pressure soft rock. The original curtain grouting method of "column mode" was changed to the "barrel model." In addition, the original 192 full-face grouting holes were optimized to 102 holes, while the grouting period of construction was shortened to 133 days from 288 days. These practices show that the rock reinforcement technique has obvious advantages over full-face curtain grouting in terms of investment and construction time.
