Abstract:
Regarding the special geotechnical works of tunnels, there is little research on the condition of forces in the tunnel floor. It is very important to understand the bearing capacity of tunnel floors since a soil tunnel has lower carrying capacity and is inclined to be greatly deformed after applying force. Based on the design method of architectural foundation, this paper discusses the carrying capacity and deformation of tunnel floors and presents the formulas for calculating the bearing capacity of shallow-soil tunnel floors and the floor deformation induced by elastic compression. It is concluded that there generally is not a problem of inadequate bearing capacity in tunnel floors. Meanwhile, different control measures should be taken regarding the influence of tunneling on tunnel floor settlement at different stages. No treatment is used before the installation of the secondary lining. Allowance is reserved for the tunnel floor deformation, and the settlement after lining installation is controlled by the standard of subgrade settlement.
