Abstract Through long-term ground temperature observation and analysis of four typical geomorphic units, the locations of constant temperature strata in different geomorphic units as well as ground temperature distribution patterns in autumn were obtained, providing an important reference for air conditioning engineering in stations and running tunnels along the Xi'an metro. The results show that the constant temperature stratum at Zaohe terrace 1 is 12m below the surface at a temperature of 15.4℃; the constant temperature stratum at the Loess ridge and depression is 13.5m below the surface at a temperature of 16.2~17.8℃; the constant temperature stratum at Weihe terrace 1 is 10.5m below the surface at a temperature of 15.5℃; and the constant temperature stratum at Weihe terrace 3 is 10.5m below the surface at a temperature of 16.5℃.
