Blasting Safety Management Mode for a Shallow Urban Tunnel

Abstract The blasting of a shallow urban tunnel will have an impact on, and even cause damage to, the surrounding building facilities. Regarding the construction of the Dalian Metro tunnel, characterized by a long blasting schedule, frequent detonating, and many companies and buildings needing protection, this paper expands upon the safety management utilized during tunnel blasting, analyzes the problems associated with monitoring and managing the blasting, and presents corresponding countermeasures.
