Abstract: Based on the geological survey taken in the extra-long West Qinling Tunnel, this paper describes the main geological survey methods in large and deep-buried railway mountain tunnels and the application of indoor interpretation of remote sensing images, geological surveys and mapping, geological geophysical prospecting, and geological drilling. It also points out the existing problems regarding this issue and offers solutions.
