Technology for Treating Mud and Water Bursts in Tunneling

Mud and water bursts are among the most serious hazards in tunneling. A classification was undertaken based on eight case studies and corresponding treatment procedures were set up. Meanwhile, theoretical calculations, analysis and site application were carried out concerning the dredging and breach treatment technique.
