Abstract Cracking and heaving occurred at the floor of a railway tunnel during operation, endangering the traffic safety. An analysis on the causes of diseases was conducted in terms of formation lithology, groundwater and construction factors, and a comprehensive treatment scheme was proposed, including compacted grouting reinforcement at the tunnel floor, low-pressure epoxy grouting at cracks of track slab (BICS method) and high-pressure injection of cement grout at longitudinal cracks of the floor. The monitoring results of treatment show that tunnel invert and track slab are in a tendency of heaving with a small rate, and the accumulated heavings (180 d) are between 0.5-1.6 mm, which indicates it is basically in a stable state.
