Abstract The factors inducing karst tunnel risks are complex and diverse. Aiming at the subjectivity, unicity and one-sidedness of objective weight of risk assessment of the karst tunnel in complex geology, a concept combining qualitative with quantitative analysis is adopted, a risk evaluation system for the karst tunnel is established by selecting the main influencing factors, the indexe weights are determined and normalization processing is conducted by entropy method. A risk assessment model combining numerical values and graphics is set up by utilizing the radar chart method, four reference samples corresponding to four risk levels are introduced, and the comprehensive evaluation range of each risk level is obtained quantitatively and intuitively.
