Research of VMT Automatic Guiding System in Shield Tunneling and Its Application

Abstract  The paper describes the functions of VMT system. In shield tunneling the shield machine attitude can be conveniently and fast displayed on computer screens in real time with dual mode of graph and text by using wireless data transmission function and the automatic emulation technique incorporating widely applied measuring apparatuses. By the aid of this system shield machine operators are guided to adjust shield driving parameters, to realize the visual and synchronous operation.
