Abstract   Based on the statistics of the circumferential cracks in the secondary linings of the seven tunnels with intact bedrocks on the Xiangtang-Putian railway, a comprehensive analysis of the causes of lining cracking was performed. This paper elaborates on the troubles encountered and the control methods used during the design and construction phases in light of the cracks that occurred in the concrete structures. In addition, corresponding countermeasures and suggestions are addressed.
