Abstract The rationality and scientific nature of shield design are the basis of its high levels of safety and efficiency. Based on the technical research of the case study of the C902 metro tunnel in Singapore, this paper introduces the design conditions and main technical parameters of the φ6 640 mm articulated EPB shield, as well as the components of relative equipment.
