Abstract Based on one tunnel of the Kunming metro that runs through a peat soil stratum, a study was made concerning the stratum distribution around the tunnel and the internal force distribution law of the segment lining of the shield tunnel. The disturbance condition in the peat soil stratum was simulated by changing the stratum resistance coefficient under the most unfavorable load condition to thoroughly simulate the structural behavior of the segment lining. The law of internal force of the lining structure varying with the disturbance magnitude in a peat soil stratum was obtained.
