Abstract Taking the construction of Kunming metro line 3 as an example, this paper simulates the influence of shield tunnelling in cumulosol strata on adjacent bridges with FEM software, analyzes the law of ground settlement and bridge pile foundation displacement, and compares the simulated data with the measured data. The results showed that: shield tunnelling in cumulosol strata may cause great ground settlement and pile foundation displacement, while a certain range of reinforcement can effectively reduce them; the simulated ground settlement and bridge displacement after ground reinforcement are close to the site measured results, validating its accuracy and feasibility.
