Abstract This paper analyzes the impact mechanism and deformation benchmark of shield tunnel construction under existing buildings using Lot 2222 of the Shenzhen Metro line 2, which travels under Jingyu Primary School and Cuihai Kindergarten, as an example. It presents the parameters concerning shield driving and relative techniques to control ground settlement.
