Abstract Considering that the toxic gases emitted from vehicles, such as carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxide, may seriously threaten the security of tunnel traffic, a monitoring system integrated with the functions of real-time detection, early warning, and emergency rescue is developed, which uses a group of sensors to detect the toxic gases in the tunnel in real time and an MCU automatic processor to realize the early warning. This paper introduces the elements and working principles of this system. Results show that it has a great social application value for its sound structure as well as its secure and reliable performance.
Abstract:
Considering that the toxic gases emitted from vehicles, such as carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxide, may seriously threaten the security of tunnel traffic, a monitoring system integrated with the functions of real-time detection, early warning, and emergency rescue is developed, which uses a group of sensors to detect the toxic gases in the tunnel in real time and an MCU automatic processor to realize the early warning. This paper introduces the elements and working principles of this system. Results show that it has a great social application value for its sound structure as well as its secure and reliable performance.
