Abstract In view of the fact that the tunnel construction in high altitude areas is affected by the climate environ? ment of low temperature, low atmospheric pressure and low oxygen content, which leads to the overall efficiency shortage or waste of construction machinery and equipment configuration, this paper proposes a relatively complete, reasonable and scientific construction equipment configuration scheme based on the high-altitude ultra-long highway tunnel, the Que′ershan Tunnel on National Highway 317. Specifically, it includes eight main equipment configurations: drilling and blasting, excavation and transportation, air supply, ventilation, water supply, power supply, heating and oxygen supply. Based on the configuration of construction equipment for the Que′ershan Tunnel, a fully-electrified equipment configuration plan for high-altitude tunnel drilling and blasting construction is further studied and proposed, and relevant prospects are made from the aspects of "oil to electricity" technology, construction organization and management, and battery technology related to electric engineering equipment.
