Abstract Controlled source audio-frequency magnetotelluric (CSAMT), which smoothly filters and statically rectifies field data and interprets geological deduction based on a 2D inversion section of resistivity, was applied to the survey of the deep-buried Dawan Tunnel on the Shantou-Kuming expressway. Combining the geological plane graph and physical property parameters, the problems related to the complex karst were deduced and the distribution of the corrosion development zone and fracture zone were successfully identified by CSAMT.
