Abstract:
The void behind tunnel lining is a common quality defect which endangers safe operation of railway. This paper analyzes the main causes of voids at tunnel crown, especially studies the intelligent monitoring technique and video control system, optimizes the injection construction technique with formwork through intelligent early warning system. The successful application in the Lihuading tunnel on Beijing-Shengyang high-speed railway shows this innovative early warning system for lining voids is a great monitoring means which is economic since it can radically solve the problem of tunnel voids at tunnel crown and also reduce the amount of grouting with formwork.
