Experimental Study on Rockburst of Jinping Marble Based on an Analysis of Acoustic Emission Waveform

Abstract:
Rockburst is a very complicated nonlinear mechanical behavior due to many influencing factors. Through two whole-range failure tests and one non- whole-range failure test, the parameters of stress and acoustic emission are acquisited, the key points are determined based on the stress curve and cumulative energy curve of acoustic emission, and the waveform of acoustic emission in the course of rockburst is analyzed, and the rockburst rules of Jinping marble is obtained. The results show the distribution of waveform numbers of acoustic emission in unit time is closely related to the key points, most of the waveforms are single wave, and the waveforms of doublewave, three-wave and four-wave are concentrated at the key points, multiple wave only occurs during rockburst; compared with the situation in loading stage, the rockburst wave with countless waveform numbers in unit time may occur during rockburst of Jinping marble, which is the unique characteristic in rockburst stage.
