Abstract:
This paper put forward the concept of swelling contact pressure, studied the relation between swelling contact pressure and swelling force by using contact element, defined the relation between swelling contact pressure and the distribution, thickness, structure and stratum stiffness of swelling rock, and analyzed the load beside that of "load-structure" mode and the characters of "beam-spring" model of shield tunnel in the swelling rock and soil strata. The above results have been successfully applied to the design of shield tunnel in the swelling rock and soil strata of Chengdu metro Line 2, and can be directly used for reference by similar projects in Chengdu as well as in China.
