Abstract:
As a kind of popular geophysical exploration technique, the high density resistivity method is widely applied in engineering geological investigation, which is extremely sensitive to predict geological defects in water-bearing areas. Taking its application in Gangtoushan tunnel and Xulingguan tunnel for example, three successful cases are comprehensively introduced, including defects in water-rich region, karst caves filled with clay and fault-fractured zones. Then the common problems like missing checking, non-uniqueness of inspecting results and lack of anomalous information are summarized and analyzed, with the corresponding solutions to them put forward.
