Abstract:
Tunnels located soft rock such as slate and carbonaceous slate are susceptible to large deformations, and this is true of the Lanzhou-Guangyuan section of the Lanzhou-Chongqing railways. Based on site practice and experiments, this paper analyzes the specific geological characteristics of this section and introduces the classification of the tunnel surrounding rock and design alternatives during construction, with a focus on the standard for classification and support parameter selection process of tunnels in soft rock with large deformation.
