Abstract:
The production of toxic gas and dust during tunnel construction endangers the health of the workers. It is therefore important to decrease the dust concentration during tunnel construction. Based on the site data of air quality in the Youzhushan tunnel, the effects of ventilation in long tunnels were analyzed. The results show that the effects of ventilation are good in phase 1 and phase 2 of tunnel construction, but the dust concentration in phase 3 of tunnel construction exceeded the allowable limit. This paper addresses the measures of using a dry dusting machine, high pressure ventilation, and duct ventilation, which can effectively reduce dust and guarantee high air quality.
