Abstract:
Based on actual geological drilling data, tunnel section and line design documents, a three-dimensional model was established using triangular prism and encrypted stratum modeling (under restrained conditions) in order to allow virtual drilling, which improves the accuracy of stratum modeling. Using regular operations and following modeling rules, representing excavation and sectioning of the stratum being crossed by the tunnel, a complex tunnel was produced. This numerical modeling was successfully applied to the Xiang'an undersea tunnel.
