Abstract:
This paper summarizes the characteristics of water leakage in single and multiple-arch tunnels in terms of leakage form, state and location based on the investigation of 46 tunnels on the Chong-zun, Qing-zhen, and Zhen-sheng highways in Guizhou province. It was concluded that water leakage occurred in single tunnels with the percentage of 84% for seepage, 91% for linear leakage and 61% for leakage at side walls. For multiple-arch tunnels, 96% water leakage is of oozing, 94% for linear leakage and 80% for that at CRD. Based on the site survey of leakage, the main causes for water leakage are analyzed in detail.
