Abstract:
By introducing the cases of prefabricated segments division for rectangular shield tunnelling both at home and abroad, the characteristics of segment division for the existing rectangular shield tunnelling were analyzed. Based on the influential factors to be considered regarding the segment division of a circle shield tunnel, the six division principles of prefabricated segment for the rectangular shield tunnel (including the quasi-rectangular shield tunnel) were presented, which involve requirements for structure mechanical behavior, reduction of segment division numbers and manufacturing costs, as well as handling and erection, arrangement of jacking cylinders, distribution of longitudinal and circumferential bolts, and effect of aspect ratio, it can be taken as a reference for the design and construction of the rectangular shield adopted in underground passage, metro and underground utility tunnel.
