Abstract: Water leakage which is mainly caused by unqualified installation of waterproof board is a common disease for the mountain tunnel, and not only will it affect tunnel aesthetic outlook but also tunnel quality and traffic safetyAiming at the problems concerning equipment of waterproof board laying and construction technology, an innovative waterproof board laying trolley was introduced and the system constitution, working principle and construction technology were described based on the Beitaizi tunnel on the Beijing-Shenyang passenger dedicated line, a comparison with existing equipment for waterproof board laying was conducted in perspective of efficacy and economy. The engineering practice shows that mechanization and automation of waterproof board laying are realized, labor intensity is significantly reduced, work efficiency is increased, operator′ s safety is guaranteed, and construction quality of geotextil and waterproof board are improved by using this innovative waterproof board laying trolley.
